Lyrical and Narrative: Song and Story in Poetry
Poetry offers many ways of being—from the dazzlingly dense beauty of Emily Dickinson to the sprawling visions of Walt Whitman. In this workshop we will explore and put into practice the poetry of song and the poetry of story and discover when they work best together and apart in our own writing.

Ben Pease's first full-length collection of poems, Chateau Wichman, (Big Lucks Books, 2017) is an "epic saga of rebellion and romance for today’s trying and exhausting digital times." His poems have appeared in jubilat, the Poetry Foundation, and Public Pool, among other places. He is the editor of Monk Books. He holds degrees from Emerson College and Columbia University.
